Sam is known for an infectious enthusiasm for climbing and is very open about giving advice. In 2008 Sam opened a dedicated bouldering gym, Bloc Climbing Centre, in Parramatta. A combination of imaginative and diverse route setting along with having Sam on-hand to offer advice help make this the best indoor bouldering venue in NSW.
Through Mountain Equipment, Sam will have the very best climbing equipment and brands available to her, including La Sportiva, DMM, Wild Country, Sterling Ropes, Moon Climbing and Tools of the Adventure. Mountain Equipment will also be assisting Sam in her travels overseas to climbing regions and to take part in overseas competitions.

Sam is Australia’s #1 female competition climber and has been the Australian Women’s Champion for the past 7 years straight
Sam is the current Australian Champion for bouldering and the Oceania Champion for both bouldering and rope-climbing
Sam has won the Asian X Games 3 times and the Oceania Cup 5 times
Sam has placed 5th twice in Boulder World Cups, the highest achievement for any Australian climber, male or female so far
Sam has bouldered up to grade V10 outside and climbed routes up to grade 29. Her best onsight is grade 27
Sam featured in a climbing stunt with Sir Richard Branson for the opening launch of the Virgin Active Health Club in Melbourne
Sam has featured in Inside Sport Magazine and was short-listed for Australia’s sexiest sportswoman
GOALS
Sam’s goal is to win a Boulder World Cup, which has never been done by an Australian climber before
Sam also wants to climb some of the hardest boulder problems and routes outdoors around the world
