An auto braking belay device for belaying a leader or second, and for short abseils on single rope. The Gri Gri 2 allows for the safe use of sport diameter ropes down to 8.9mm (ideal at 9.4-10.3).
Self braking system - if a fall occurs, the pivoting cam inside the device facilitates braking. *
• Simple to use: similar to that of conventional belay device - control of the running of the rope using both hands to slide the rope through the device.
• Fall arrest by holding the free end of the rope
• Release the rope using the handle for lowering and descending.
Use: ropes of diameters 8.9 - 11mm
